So in Reader’s Digest, I and a few others talked about 60 clever ways to lower your household bills and save money. Here’s some of my favorites from that article.
Number one, sign a lease in the fall or winter. When you sign a lease in the fall and winter, you can save up to 7% on your lease because most people move during the spring and summer when their kids are out of school.
Another one I like, and this one hits close to home, is don’t pre-wash your dishes if you have a dishwasher. Most current dishwashers are extremely strong, and they wash great. When you pre-wash, you waste water, and when you waste water, you waste money. I like it because I did it anyway, and it’s cool to see that it actually saves money.
One of the last ones I’d like to point out is using ceiling fans and portable fans. Ceiling fans and portable fans can lower the temperature four to six degrees in a room. So you use less A/C, which also saves you more money.
So what do you think?
